BILLBOARDS HACKER was born in Provence. Passionate about skies and the light at its source, he studied at Atelier des Beaux-Arts in Paris and learned Trompe l’oeil painting at Painting Superior Institute Van Der Kelen in Brussels. He moves to New York in 2003, and start to hack advertising billboards to show some skies about Climate Change. His Artist nickname became evident: Billboards Hacker. In 2010 he is recipient of Art Omi international Artists Residency and then he starts to push it further, making 2000 square feet fake billboards. In 2013 looking to the other side of the spectrum he came with the idea of using the cat, referring to different civilizations where the cat symbolically was already here to protect and watch after the humans. Mixing Trompe l’Oeil and his experience in photography, he starts to do paste ups on lower part of the walls in New York, Paris, Medellin, Athens, Amsterdam… Maybe you’ll get the chance to see around the corner of a street, the look of these cats, the looks of these guardian angels. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n\nN\u00e9 en Provence, Billboard Hacker est passionn\u00e9 par les sources de lumi\u00e8re et le ciel. Il fait ses classes \u00e0 l\u2019Atelier des Beaux-Arts \u00e0 Paris et apprend le trompe-l\u2019\u0153il \u00e0 l\u2019Institut Sup\u00e9rieur de Peinture Van Der Kelen \u00e0 Bruxelles. Il s\u2019installe \u00e0 New York en 2003. Il d\u00e9tourne des billboards publicitaires en y affichant des ciels au sujet du changement climatique. Son nom d\u2019artiste devient \u00e9vident: Billboards Hacker. En 2010, il entre at Art Omi International Residency, puis il bouscule la mentalit\u00e9 Am\u00e9ricaine avec de faux panneaux publicitaires de 200 m\u00b2. En 2013 il y int\u00e8gre une d\u00e9marche minimaliste avec le chat, symbole de protection de l\u2019humanit\u00e9. Alliant trompe-l\u2019\u0153il et savoir-faire photographique, il commence \u00e0 coller au ras du sol ses montages photos de New York \u00e0 Paris, de Medellin \u00e0 Ath\u00e8nes ou Amsterdam.
